I had an amazing time at KCD Munich this week. KCDs are always fun because you get to see where the communities are, which topics are hot and you meet a lot of project maintainers. Kudos to the organizers who did an amazing job at having an amazing third edition of the conference.

This time, I had the pleasure of presenting with Thomas Vitale about platform engineering and how we can unlock new experiences by relying on open interfaces.

I also had the chance to do a book signing session. Thanks to Loft Labs for sponsoring the copies!

We had the chance to do an unconference session around the CNCF App Delivery TAG and the Working Groups under the TAG. Thanks to Lian for organizing and leading it.

Big Kudos to Henrik Rexed from Dynatrace for always recording high-quality videos and interviews.

I took three main takeaways and action items:

  • Add Dapr to CNOE, it shouldn’t be that difficult. Ask about Knative, too.
  • Try out mirrord by Metalbear with sidecars.
  • Make sure that I submit it again next year!

I will add the recording to this blog post when it is out! Now it is time to go back to London and do some coding!
